WiFi is great for providing Internet access throughout your home. But if you live in a house which has an upstairs and your wireless router is located downstairs, it can be a bit of a challenge to get the signal up there.
That’s where the help of a WiFi Extender or WiFi Repeater comes in.
Quite often you will still be able to get at least a small amount of signal upstairs, but just not as much as you need for a stable internet connection and as the signal degrades, the speed at which you can transfer files or stream media is reduced. So the best thing you can is get yourself a WiFi Extender and position it in the place upstairs where you do receive the best coverage.
If you can’t get any coverage at all upstairs then your other options would be to either run Ethernet cable upstairs (time consuming and perhaps expensive if you don’t do the work yourself) or a better and much easier option would be to buy a PowerLine Ethernet adapter. What this does is use the existing electrical wiring in your home to send/receive data.
Either way, extending your signal to cover upstairs isn’t a difficult task and you should find exactly what you need on our site.
